The main rites of a Vedic wedding

How long does a Hindu wedding take?
A full Vivaham typically takes three to four hours, depending on the tradition and the rites included. The Gurukkal can advise on a shorter or extended format to suit your schedule and the venue, without omitting the essential sacraments.

The wedding can be performed at your home, at a temple, at a banquet hall or outdoor venue, or conducted online via Zoom or WhatsApp for families joining from afar. What you'll need (samagri)
Once your date is set, the Gurukkal provides a clear, itemized samagri (materials) list so nothing is missed. It generally includes the kalasham and sacred vessels, mango leaves and coconut, turmeric, kumkum, flowers and fruits, materials for the homam (sacred fire), and the mangalsutra. He will tailor the list to your specific tradition.
